Budget 2025: Singapore Introduces New Scheme to Support Large Families

In the upcoming Budget 2025, Singapore is set to unveil a new scheme aimed at assisting large families with household expenses. This initiative is part of the government's broader strategy to make it more affordable for Singaporeans to have more children. Over the past five years, significant efforts have been made to provide financial support to families, including affordable housing, managing child-rearing costs, and balancing work-family responsibilities. Marriage and parenthood initiatives are projected to cost the government close to S$7 billion in FY2026, up from over S$4 billion in 2020, covering early childhood sectors and upcoming parental leave enhancements.
